Within our Society, we strive for many things. Honor upon the field of combat, beauty and knowledge in our arts, excellence in our service. There are also those for whom cultivating themselves and their presence is its own art. A vision drawn in all aspects, mindful persona, studied comportment, styled appearance. Those for whom the ideal of stepping from a manuscript moves further to embodying a time and a culture.

It is with these things in mind that We, _________ and __________, mighty and beloved King and Queen of these Outlands, do call to all Sons and Daughters of the Stag to bear witness. Notes: Recipients also receive a gold hood. Only given once per reign.

Truly the armies of the Outlands are fierce and mighty, We know well that any foes of the Stag tremble when they hear the clatter of Our march towards them. Martial prowess, vast as it may be, is not all the Outlands brings to foreign wars, and it is meet and fitting that We should see these other facets recognized. It is thus that We, _________ and __________, glorious upon the Stag Throne, send warmest greetings to all. In addition to battle and arts and revelry, We ask you each to consider the immense work that is done to create the great wars that we enjoy. Moreover, there are those among our populace who travel untold distance to work and serve these foreign wars. Companions of the Order of the Vanguard of the Outlands are these noble folk who have so distinguished themselves through extraordinary feats of service in support of these foreign wars. Today, We turn our regard to ___________ and do name [him/her/them], by Grant of Arms, as a Companion of this worthy order. (3) Being mindful of the great skill with which [he/she/they] wields the rapier's flashing blade, and also of the exemplary courtesy shown, both on the field and off, by Our subject, ________, and willing that [his/her/their] person should be honored as required by [his/her/their] desserts and very valiant deeds,

(4) We do therefore this day prefer and create [him/her/them] as a Defender of the White Scarf of the Outlands. From this day forth, [he/she/they] shall be styled ['Don'/'Doña'] in recognition of [his/her/their] achievements.
